The Gryphon Track and Field teams are thrilled to announce the additions of Taylor Milne and Scott Arnald to their coaching staff. Milne and Arnald both bring an international pedigree to the program and have been among the top distance runners in the country for much of the past decade. Milne a graduate of High Point University, represented Canada at the 2008 Olympics in the 1500 metres. Over the past five years he has been one of the country's top and most consistent middle distance runners and is the Canadian Record Holder over 2000 metres. He will be joining the program as a strength and core coach. Milne is a professional athlete for New Balance and the Speed River Track and Field Club, who also works for AGSI as a Field Researcher. Arnald, a graduate of the University of Waterloo and three time CIS All-Canadian for the Warriors is a member of the Warriors Hall of Fame. Arnald represented Canada at the World University Cross Country Championships in 2006. After graduating he ran professionally for Saucony and the Speed River Track and Field Club. Since retiring from competitive running Arnald has been working as an Environmental Sustainability Analyst with the Guelph Food and Technology Centre. Arnald will work primarily with the cross country/middle and long distance groups, under the leadership of Dave Scott-Thomas. Arnald and Milne are the seventh and eighth members of the University of Guelph Track and Field coaching staff with international experience. They have already begun working with the team.
