This 5-foot-5 defender hails from London, Ont. and attends London Catholic Central.  Condon has played for the Cobras High Performance Club program for the past three years and captained the team during the 2012 indoor season. Her team won the gold medal at the Field Hockey Ontario U18 Club Championships during the 2010 and 2011 outdoor season as well as the 2011 indoor season.
At the provincial level, Condon, represented the U16 team twice (2009 and 2010) and captured the bronze medal at the 2010 national championships in Ontario. During the summer of 2011, she competed at the U18 national championships in Calgary where Ontario was crowned national champions. Condon is also a two-time Quest for Gold recipient and has attended one Junior National Camp. In winter 2012, Condon represented Ontario at the Indoor Nationals (Alberta Cup) where she scored 14 goals and earned MVP honours.
Condon is set to pursue a Human Kinetics degree at the University of Guelph. She commented, "I chose Guelph due to the great Human Kinetics Program, which is the perfect fit for my interests. As an added bonus, the field hockey team has a great reputation on and off the field."
Â
"We are thrilled to have acquired such a top notch athlete," stated field hockey head coach Michelle Turley. "Ciara is a finesse defender who rarely gets beat. She has strong stick skills, sees the field well, makes good passing decisions and has an exceptional work ethic. Her versatility to play any position makes her extremely valuable to our program. She will without doubt make an impact at Guelph."
