Why you love being a Gryphon in 140 characters or less: Because of the excitement of regattas, where all your hard work leads up to that one day and the friendships you build.

Best nickname on the team: Treitz

One thing we don't know about your team: We have handmade tuques, which you can only receive if you go to the Canadian University Rowing Championships.

MEN'S ROWING Captain's Name: Mark Henry

Why you love being a Gryphon in 140 characters or less: Because I love the school and city and it has given me the ability to be a top National level athlete.

Best nickname on the team: Moose

One thing we don't know about your team: We train twice a day, all year with a very short one week break, twice a year.

Favourite song to get warmed up to: It's not a song but a speech: "Inches" from "Any given Sunday" (Rowing Canada did a video using this speech)

Something we don't know about your coach: Our coach, Dave Leger went to the University of Guelph (Vet/Master) and rowed here when there was a team in the 70s.
